While most teams are beginning to settle in to their mid-season routines, Notre Dame Pride and Bishop O’Byrne Bobcats are looking ahead to Sept. 30 as their most important matchup of the year.

No replay game needed after ACAC appeal decision

After a tumultuous week, the Mount Royal Cougars Men’s hockey team is once again the 2010-11 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference, or ACAC, Champions.

The Cougars beat the SAIT Trojans on March 27 in a winner-take-all Game 5 for their first title in five years – but this was only the beginning.

Kyle Shewfelt says gymnastics event will be ‘engaging and impactful’

Olympic gold medalist Kyle Shewfelt is thrilled to be hosting his first ever Gymnastics Festival this weekend at the University of Calgary.

“I’ve always had this dream to create a gymnastics event that was fun, interactive and audience centred,” says Shewfelt, who in 2004, was the first Canadian to win a gold medal in gymnastics at the Olympic Games.
